Updates on Spending, Lifestyle, Earnings, and Cuisine

Happy Monday, everyone! The weekend flew by, and summer is just racing past.

I ate out every day this weekend (I know, not great), had a dentist appointment on Saturday morning, did some house cleaning, and tackled a bunch of other tasks. It’s still way too hot to do anything outside with these 105-degree days we’ve had for over a month now—it’s really getting on my nerves.

Here’s what’s been going on:

**School:** Only two more weeks until I finish my MBA! It’s so close. I have three projects left—two are due tomorrow and are already done, and then there’s a paper. I decided not to walk at graduation. Instead, we’ll go out to eat and celebrate that night. I’m just not that interested in walking since I already did for my undergraduate degrees.

**Spending:** I bought a shirt from Urban Outfitters for $21, marked down from $54. I’ve wanted it for a while, so don’t judge me. I also got a shirt from American Eagle using a gift card and signed up for their free shipping service, so it was free. I sold $50 worth of stuff to a consignment store and sold my Versace purse to Bag Borrow Steal. I didn’t get as much as I wanted, and I know they’ll sell it for four times what they paid me, which is a bit disappointing.

**Extra Monthly Income:** Last week, I made about $250. This includes $50 from clothes, $50 from selling two purses on eBay, over $100 from my blog, and around $50 from secret shop phone calls. I’m not counting the Versace purse yet because it’s still being inspected. I also signed up to be a staff writer for another blog, which should be fun and help get my name out there.

I’ve been thinking about getting into blog button sponsorships. Does anyone else do this? How’s it working for you? I sponsor a couple of other blogs and donate items for group giveaways.

**Budget Cutting:** I didn’t cut anything out this week. I noticed that AT&T charged me $10.50 for asking them to discount my internet. No one told me there would be a charge when I asked for the discount. They gave me a $4 discount but charged me $10.50 for asking. I got them to remove the charge because it’s the dumbest fee I’ve ever heard of.

**Food:** We’re doing better but still not great. We ate out way too much this past weekend—BWW, Applebee’s, sushi, Subway, and a Mexican restaurant. I don’t know what got into us.

**Being Healthy:** I haven’t done anything lately. I need to start doing more Blogilates! What good healthy websites and food sites do you recommend? Share them with me.

How’s your spending, working out, and extra income going?
