Boosting Income by $1,193: Life and Photo Highlights

Happy Monday, everyone! Here’s another Weekly Update for you, and I hope you enjoy it. It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post, so I’m ready to catch up with you all.

The holiday celebrations were fantastic! We had a great time on Christmas, spent time with W’s family, and enjoyed New Year’s Eve. We probably spent too much money, but who doesn’t go a bit overboard during the holidays?

I’ve been meaning to post this but kept forgetting. Thank you to everyone who reads my blog. I hope you continue to enjoy my posts in 2013!

My weekly updates were very popular in 2012, mostly because of my extra income updates, I think. The Extra Income tab was also a hit, and I need to keep working on it. My travel posts were well received too. Check out my TRAVEL tab above (I just created it yesterday, so it’s still a work in progress).

Here are some of my most popular posts from 2012, based on page views:
– My $38,000 Student Loan Payoff Plan
– Buying a House at 20

And here are some Instagram pictures from our trip to St. Thomas and St. John. The balcony picture below was actually our view from our room!

**My Updates**

**Spending:**
We did great with our spending since my last update. I haven’t bought anything. I tried finding stuff at the mall with a couple of gift cards but didn’t like anything. Isn’t it funny how you can’t find anything when you actually have gift cards to use? Then you’re tempted to buy something just because you have the card.

**Extra Income:**
I only included the first 5 days of this month in my extra income update to start fresh for 2013. This makes it easier to track. I made $868 last week and also received $325 from my sister for rent, totaling $1,193 in extra income so far in 2013. This is a good amount, especially considering the holiday week. I expect to be busier next week.

**Food:**
No meal plan for this week. I’ve been improvising, but it hasn’t hurt our food budget too badly. I’ve just been lazy about it. If you have any recipes or recently posted any on your blog, share them in the comments! I’m always looking for new ideas.

**Being Healthy:**
I’ve been doing poorly with this and noticed I gained a couple of pounds. We haven’t looked at gym equipment for our home gym yet, but I want to start Insanity since we have the DVDs. I need to start motivating myself!

How’s your spending, working out, and extra income going?
