Unexpected Earnings: How St. Thomas Boosted My Income by $3,038

Hey everyone! Happy Monday. Today, we’re heading back from St. Thomas, and we had an absolute blast. I’m a bit sad the vacation is over, but I’m also ready to be home. I miss my dogs, and of course, W too ๐Ÿ™‚ The trip with my sister was just what we needed!

Some of you have asked for a full recap of our St. Thomas trip since you’re planning to go soon, so stay tuned for that! We took tons of pictures. We spent a lot of time at the beach, got really sunburned, tried stand-up paddleboarding for the first time, went kayaking, and even went parasailing for the first time. We stayed at the resort the whole 5 days and had so much fun. Usually, I like to explore the area when I’m on vacation, but this time we just relaxed at the resort.

I announced the winner of my Novica giveaway but haven’t heard back yet. If your name is Erika, please check the Facebook post where I announced the giveaway to see if it’s you. I want to give you your certificate code! ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, big congratulations to my sister who is now a personal trainer! And it’s my birthday month, so you all better be super nice to me for the rest of May. Just kidding, you should be nice to me all the time ๐Ÿ™‚ I already know what I want for my birthdayโ€”a stand-up paddleboard.

Spending
We didn’t spend anything outside of our vacation budget. Earlier in May, our dryer broke, but luckily, we had a gift card for Lowes that covered the whole purchase, so it didn’t affect our budget at all.

Extra Income
Extra income has been good this month. I’m expecting a few payments this week. Affiliate income is still going strong. It’s great to know that even while I was on vacation, you awesome readers were still clicking on my affiliate links. I don’t count it as income until I actually receive it (usually 45 to 60 days after you click on the link), but it’s nice to know future income is on its way.

Not sure if this counts as extra income, but I won $85 to Starbucks last week. Woohoo! I haven’t spent money at Starbucks in forever because I keep winning gift cards from giveaways.

Food โ€“ Clean Eating!
We’re still doing well with our food spending, but it’s hard to say because I’ve been gone for 5 days and W can’t cook to save his life (I have no idea what he’s been eating while I was away). But it’s a new week, and I know we’ll do great! What’s on your meal plan? Share any links, recipes, and pictures in the comments below.

Being Healthy
I’m still doing great with staying healthy. Our hotel room was on the 7th floor, and we took the stairs almost every time (except when we had luggage), which is saying something! We also worked out at the gym once, but those stairs were a workout on their own. After going down 7 floors, it was another 98 (maybe 96?) steps to the pool and beach area, and we walked that every single time. I should have killer legs now.

How are you doing with your extra income, spending, and staying healthy?
