Earning $975 Weekly: Life Updates and Insights

Happy Monday, everyone! It’s the start of another workweek. I tried a Pinterest project with my dog, but it didn’t turn out well at all. She looked so unhappy and annoyed with me for making her do it.

I’m looking for guest posters for next week while I’m out of town. I know it’s short notice, but I thought it would be great to have some guest posts scheduled instead of my regular content. Ideally, the posts should be about money—like how you save on vacations, what side jobs you have, or your long-term goals. Anyone interested?

I’m super excited about our vacation next week. It’s going to be short but fun, and we’re planning to spend around $1,500 total, including food and other expenses.

In case you remember my post, “He makes less money than me, so what?”, well, W now makes more money than me. It’s interesting to see him as the breadwinner, especially since I have two bachelor’s degrees and an MBA in Finance. It just goes to show that determination can really help you achieve your income goals. This role reversal is fascinating, and I plan to write a post about it soon. Have any of you experienced this? Who is the breadwinner in your family? Share your stories, and I might include them in my post.

The winners for my Aldi giveaway from my Weekly Roundup were announced. Congrats to Amber and Young Adult Money! Also, don’t forget about my $75 Novica Giveaway. It ends in a few days, and not many people have entered, so your chances of winning are pretty good! There’s also another giveaway today for an iPad 3, so check back on my blog later.

Here are my updates:

**Spending:**
My spending this week was similar to last week’s. I didn’t spend much except on my other dog, who got sick. He’s a French Bulldog runt with a very closed nose, and the vet recommended laser surgery to open it up. When he coughed, he couldn’t breathe for a bit, so I took him to the vet immediately. He’s on medication now, and the total vet bill was around $75. Both dogs are getting better, thankfully. They were really sick, throwing up non-stop, but they’re on the mend now.

**Extra Income:**
This week was good, but not as great as past weeks. December is usually slow for extra income because of the holidays, so I’m not too worried. I made around $975 last week from extra income. I’m still waiting on some payments, and next week’s update will likely reflect that. I’ve cut down on some of my writing assignments but kept the ones I enjoy. I also started making more from affiliate links, earning about $75 from them last week. Thanks to everyone who signed up through my links—I really appreciate it!

**Food:**
We’ve been doing well with food. We went out to eat on Saturday, which was expensive because we were babysitting W’s little brother and sister, who are 9 and 12. We went to Applebee’s, and feeding a family can get pricey! I made a meal plan for this week; check out my Sunday Meal Plan.

**Being Healthy:**
I’m still doing well with staying healthy. I haven’t done full workouts as much as I’d like, but I try to do something small in the mornings and a bit more after work. It all adds up, right? I’m also buying and cooking healthy meals more often, and it’s been tasty and rewarding. Last week, I lost 0.5 pounds. I’m focusing on building muscle rather than losing weight, so it’s all good. Yay for me!

How are your spending, workouts, and extra income going?
