4 Creative Methods to Monetize Your Fitbit

4 Creative Methods to Monetize Your Fitbit

Wes recently bought a Fitbit, and he’s been hooked on it ever since. He even competes with his dad on daily and weekly step goals. When we visited his parents in Mississippi, everyone was walking around in circles or running in the 100-degree heat just to win!

One day, I logged into my Walgreens account to order a prescription refill and noticed that we could earn money with a Fitbit. This made me really happy because I love earning points, which I see as free money since I would use the points anyway!

You can earn points through various apps and programs no matter where you bought your Fitbit. While you won’t get rich from this, signing up for one or all of the programs below could help you earn a decent amount of points each month just by doing what you normally do.

Here are four ways you could save or earn money with a Fitbit:

1. **Walgreens Balance Rewards**
With the Walgreens Balance Rewards for healthy choices program, you can earn points by using your Fitbit. These points can be redeemed for cash at Walgreens. I’ve redeemed points for several purchases, and it’s one of my favorite rewards programs. You can earn:
– 250 points for each new healthy goal you set
– 20 points for every mile you walk, run, or cycle
– 20 points per day for testing your blood pressure
– 250 points for each healthy goal you reach
– And more!

You get $5 for every 5,000 points, and you can redeem up to $50 at once. To sign up, go to Walgreens.com, create an account or connect an existing one, and follow the steps under “Balance Rewards for healthy choices.”

2. **Dick’s Sporting Goods**
By connecting your Fitbit to the Dick’s Sporting Goods app, you can earn 3 points per day if you reach a minimum of 10,000 steps. You get $10 for every 300 points, and you can redeem up to $20 at a time.

3. **Pact**
Pact is an app that lets you earn cash for staying healthy, paid by members who don’t meet their goals. There are three types of pacts: gym, food log, and veggie. You can sync your Fitbit with the gym pact. If you meet your pact, you get a cash reward, ranging from $0.30 to $5.00 per week, funded by those who didn’t meet their goals.

4. **Wellness Program through Your Health Insurance**
Some health insurance companies offer points or discounts if you are active with your Fitbit. It’s worth contacting your insurance company to see if they offer any extras. The worst they can say is no, but they might just say yes!

If you’re interested in getting a Fitbit, you can find them on Amazon. Wes and I both have the Fitbit Charge HR, but all models are great.

Do you have a Fitbit? Did you know you could earn money or points just by using it like you normally do?
